Schedules Beyond the 2013 Major League Season

Hello All,

I just completed a 2013 ML Season as the Kansas City Royals (Lost in World Series to ATL for those curious), and am looking ahead to the 2014 season and noticed some discrepancies with the schedule.

The 16 of the 20 inter-league games are against the same NL division as 2013 (NL East). The 4 inter-league games against my "natural rival" has changed from the Cardinals to the Cubs (note: same NL division).

If memory serves me correctly, the inter-league divisional opponents should rotate every year and the natural rival should stay the same.

Is this correctable, is this unique to my game file? Am I even in the right place? Thanks for any and all responses!

the way OOTP deals with schedules is not at all a highlight, that is for sure.

Essentially what it is doing is taking your current schedule, and randomizing it, paying attention to only a few parameters, such as division games, and interleague play.

It is not going to pay head to which division you are playing, and it does not care about natural rivalries. It doesn't know anything about such things. It probably should. There is a list of things I could say the game should be able to do in terms of the schedule, but alas, it does not, and thus you see so many people lean on made schedules as opposed to using the games self-generated ones.

This schedule is the one I use, as it balances interleague play across divisions.
