Add on Central

Can't get a lot of these mods to work. They won't download. Tried the historical face gens and got an error. Same for the nicknames project.

Also, I made the mistake of stopping the historical photos prior to it finishing. It then said install, but it only installs 300 files. Is there a way to get it to reload. It just says re install now.

I had the same error on the historical face gens, which is unfortunate. I really liked that in OOTP13.

Click on "open downloads folder", locate the file, delete it. Close add-ons dialog and open it again. After that you should have a "download" button for the mod again.

The button is always active, the files will not download. I have been getting the same problem since Friday, trying every day several times.

Haven't tried the download again due to lack of time, but your suggestion did get it to go from re-install back to download. Will try the download again when I get home from work. Thanks so much for the help.

If there is anything you can do to get the historical face gen and the nicknames downloads to work again I will be forever grateful. I fell in love with those 2 mods while playing 13. Going to be tough to go without them.

The all in one center comes in handy as I have no clue how to get logos and such without it.

I copied the fg_files from 13 to 14 because I couldn't get it to download so that could be a workaround.

Problem is I wouldn't have a clue how to do that. That's why I love add on central. Makes it easy for this dumb guy.

I am having the same problem. I have tried deleting the file and the error message still comes up.

I was just able to download the 2013 all-in-one. Everything else I still get the error message.

I've had this exact same experience. 2013 All-in-One dl'd and installed fine. Can't download anything else.

Yeah, I did the all in one last night as well. Pretty sure you would be able to do the real photos as well. I so hope they can get historical face gens and the nickname project to work.

I had the same problem, but a workaround is really not that hard. Do you still have OOTP 13 on your pc? (If not, download the historical facegen file manually from OOTPmods.com).

If you already dowloaded the Allin Mod, first locate the fg_files in OOTP 14 and copy them to your desktop (or somewhere else). Then copy the fg_files from OOTP 13 to OOTP 14 (or the ones you downloaded manually) replacing all the data in the folder.

Now you will want to have this season's facegens back into OOTP 14. Copy- paste the fg_files of '14 (the ones you copied to your desktop) back into OOTP 14. You will be asked if you want to replace the data of the player names that were already there. Click yes to everything. That will do it.

I think you guys have an issue here that needs to be looked at. I posted my issue in the bug thread but haven't heard back. It looks like a lot of people cannot download anything but the all-in-one from the in game add-on section.

I never had a problem on OOTP13 and am using the same exact laptop.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the game, clearing my browser, running as administrator, checking my firewall restrictions and using different browsers.

It seems like the in game browser/application in blocking OOTPmods.com somehow. I can access the site through my regular browser.

I hope this is being looked at in the next patch.

I'm not the most tech savvy guy so when it comes to copy/paste and deleting files my mind starts to buzz and go numb. I kind of rely on the add-on page as a do-it-yourself. I hope it will be addressed soon for the guys like me that are not as knowledgeable with cut here.....paste there. But thanks for helping

I'm 100% the same. Scares me to try some of the workaround stuff. Usually what happens to me is I delete something important or install something in the wrong place.

I did that twice last year and had to reinstall the game b/c I deleted stuff I shouldn't have. So I trust the team will have this all sorted out soon enough.

Me too. The great thing about this game is that there are so many different ways to play it.

Same here too. I don't actually care since I've just added my stuff from OOTP 13 but it'd be nice to get this working for the folks who can't/prefer not to do that.

Hey guys. We're on this. If you're not able to download the previous mods that were available via Add-Ons Central in OOTP13, I think I've identified why and I'll work with Andreas to get this sorted out.

It looks like the TGZ files for add-ons central are not on the server where they're supposed to be, although all the other ZIP and RAR files are. I'm not sure why this is the case, because supposedly everything was migrated over en masse, but I'll work on fixing it soon.

If we end up having to re-migrate those TGZ files, it might take some time due to the file sizes.
