Just watch?
Anyway I can just watch the world unfold and not GM a team? If I have to pick a team, can I let the CPU run everything? Lineups, trades, free agents, etc?

The computer manager can run games. It can set lineups. It can draft. It will not trade for you or pick free agents.

That is not correct the computer can pick free agents if you put the bottom option on the settings screen. Usually it says your name where the option is, but in your case you want to change both options to cpu
