League Backup Question

I simmed a few of my various leagues to the point in the offseason where I could then import to OOTP 14. One of the leagues, when unzipping, gave me an error linked to one of the BB Cards. I am curious if I can just delete all BB Cards? Will that cause any sort of issues?

Deleting BB Cards will cause no problems.

Also, there is no assurance it will fix your problem.

Definitely didn't fix my issues. Now it has something to do with player images. Regenerating those to see if I can find a fix. Its a bummer because I was starting to get attached to this league.

So, I'm guessing a bit - you zipped up your league files after finishing the sims, and once zipped, deleted the originals?

Just trying to get some clarification here, follow along with what all you did with the file.

Right now it almost sounds like something with the images got messed up when zipping/unzipping, but without the full picture I can't really say.

I zipped the league file. Moved them to an external drive. Then I realized I would have to unzip those files when the game came out I unzipped them in preparation. So I could just import. That is when I got the error.

I fixed that league by tracking down a couple image files that were corrupt. I am now getting another error with a different league so I am assuming its something to do with the zip/unzip process that is causing an issue.

I am using the Linux version but I have never had this issue before.

Yes I could just keep them where they are and import from location. I wanted a backup though and I had planned on importing one league to the install on my desktop. This is how I backup my leagues for safe keeping so if I am having some sort of issue I would like to sort it out before I run into any issues down the road.

Try this. This is one thing that Bowtie who is on the help team would tell you to do.
Make a new .lg folder, name it what ever you want and out it in your saved games folder. Copy all the .DAT files into the new folder. Load game open this league. You will have to redo all logos and uniforms but the rest should be good to go.
