World wide fictional league

Is there a way to make a fictional league with each team from like 20 different countries, and then have each of these teams only allowed to use players from their nation?

I don't think so... I know you can do leagues where they only take players from the parent nation -- but I don't think you can do individual teams.

Not positive, but I don't THINK you can do it.

Sure can, doc.

There's an option in the league setup to set foreigner limits either by league home country or by team country.

Really? Can't find that at all.

it's right in the options.

however using only one league to do it presents problems in that not enough players get created from certain countries especially if you use some lower tier ones..

If you don't set a region and make say the USA the league home country and set a high percentage of foreginers you invariably end up with high amounts of Indians Russians and Chinese.

You can always create feeder leagues for the drafts, but make multiple ones whose regions are set to baseball quality 5, 4 and 3. You can use actual college feeders or you could use major league feeders which may be easier if you want tiers of teams (to keep their quality different, ie Japan would get better players than Brazil) in which case the PCMs would be easier to set up. I'm unsure of results you would get tinkering with college feeder PCMs because they are so low already.

It is still possible to do the other option with some tinkering. You can use the region baseball quality 3+ for instance and just let the game pick players from the good baseball countries if you want to give every country an even chance at winning and don't want to impose a natural edge to say Cuba, Japan, USA, etc.

with the current game I have also done games where I used 5 feeder major leagues (MLB, latino league, euro league, asian league, aussie league) each with different PCMs depending on the region's skill, set their regions to USA / canada , Latin America, Eurasia, East Asia and Oceania. after that it is possible to change the populations of each country within the game of the countries in those regions manually to work out a percentage of how many players will come from each country (drastically reducing china's population and adding to japan's for example). Higher population in Japan and lower population in China means more players would come from Japan in my Asian feeder league meaning their team will get more good players than China.

The next game is certainly going to be easier to do all of this when it gives us options to select what countries our draft pool uses and what countries hot amateur free agents come from.
