Players' Team Status on Roster Screen

There appears to be a disconnect between a player's "Team Status" displayed in his profile, versus what's listed in the "Role" column on the roster screen. Most players on my team (Philadelphia Flyers) are listed as a "Normal Player", but are listed as something else in their profile (key, core, backup, etc.). Changing their status, either from their profile or via right-click, does not affect what's listed on the roster screen.
