Custom Playoffs
Alright guys quick question. I want my playoffs in my new league to be just like the current MLB setup but I want it so it is a 2-2-1-1-1 and 2-2-1 formats.
I know you go to customizable playoffs to set this. How do I get the seeding and everything so it is exactly like the current set up. The main thing I am questioning is how to make sure the winner of the wildcard game always plays the number 1 seed. Does that look like the right settings below?

It looks right to me. I'm assuming scrolling down includes a Bye @ #2 Seed also. If so, it should work as planned.

Thanks. I'm thinking the setting making sure the wildcard game winner plays the number 1 seed is the Later Round Drop Box setting it to fixed.

Looks right to me, I don't think I can look that up until I'm in my off season, but definitely looks right.

Later Rounds should be "re-seed" for home field reasons. I haven't tested the various wild card permutations, but re-seeding still guarantees WC@1 in the division series, as the surviving wild card is guaranteed the lowest seed.

Hmmmm just try hitting reseed for later rounds and I had the wildcard playing the #2 seeded division winner and not the wildcard because the wildcard had a better record than the worst division winner. I'll try fiixed and see if this situation comes up if it handles it different.

I'm starting to get frustrated.
For the later round match ups if I set it as re-seed after the wildcard game if the wildcard game winner has a better record than any of the division winners they won't play the #1 seed. If I set it to Fixed, if the wildcard game winner has a better record than anyone they play they will get homefield advantage. There has gotta be a way to set up the current playoff format right. What am I doing wrong?

Just tried that no luck either. When I set it to use as fixed the problem I'm running into is if the Wildcard beats the #1 seed in the division series they get homefield in the LCS like the #1 seed should have. I'm really starting to think there is no way to get homefield advantage right!

I'll go back to the 1,2 and 5 games at home for the #1 seed in the LCS next season. I just did it for a few seasons like the real MLB did last year.

Is your homefield advantage right when a wildcard has a better record than a division winner in the later rounds?
