Alternate playoffs/postseason

Is there any way to set up postseason rather than just a regular knockout tournament. One thing Id like to do is set up playoffs between four leagues but they are at different rating levels, so the different leagues would get different amount of spots in the tournament (similar to champions league qualifying or heineken cup qualifying).
Another would be to do something similar to NCAA bowls where different league winners or whatever would play in a one off series.

Are either of them possible to create??

Yes, associate leagues and use the custom playoff option.

No, as far as I know, every playoff format must have advancing winners until a single team is left. However, I do believe that you can manually add games to the schedule and could recreate it that way.

Ya but in with league association you have to either use who wins the playoffs, playoff finalists or pick from the division standings. Thats not what I want. I want the playoff winner from one league, finalists in another and something different from another league.

Ah, right you are. Then no, I don't think there's any way to do such a thing.
