I love the old OOTP 5 and the iOS version of OOTP because they dont utilize these features. Does anyone know if the new version will allow you to disable those features?

I am pretty sure you can disable waivers.
I know you can choose that players cannot refuse demotion to the minors which makes DFA kind of irrelevant. A work around, if you cannot disable waivers is to set option years to a ridiculous length making them irrelevant.

In OOTP13, you can disable waivers quite easily. One of the options for Waiver Length is "rule disabled." DFA cannot be disabled, but as has been pointed out, you can disable Right to Refuse Minors, and then the only thing the DFA list is used for is a place to hold recently-acquired players from trades.
My fictional league is set up this way (along with the disabling of Minor League option years), and it runs fine. And I would assume that the option to turn these off will stay in OOTP14, because I see no reason Markus would remove that option. |
