Do I have a problem?
My Strange Addiction: iOOTP 2012
Okay, so I downloaded this game (2012) a while ago, and I was playing seasons with the Tigers until they would just start sucking, which was almost always around 2020 (I was a little clingy to Verlander, Cabby, and Fielder). So around July, I decided to just play as many seasons as I could, and never delete it. Around 2035, all the existing players had retired, and I had won the championship twice. When I got to 2050, I had not won a World Series since 2027, but I played on. It took me until 2065 to win another championship (fire sales do work), after not going to the playoffs from 2052-2062. Then again, I went into a hole. I won the championship in 2084, but then I quickly fell into 5th. I had another fire sale after 2086 (66-96), waited two seasons, and won the championship 3 years in a row, and blew a 3 run lead in the 9th in Game 7 of the 2092 World Series. From 2088-2103, I have made the playoffs every year. My only player from before the fire sale is still with me, a then starter who went on to win over 300 games. He is now a reliever, who has .5 stars, waiting for retirement, although he is signed through 2104. I have won the world series 10 times, and gone to the playoffs 51 times. My question to you is, have any of you gone this far into the future? Is it wrong that I have gone this far? What is the longest you've gone? |

Same way I play. I think I got one league to 2189, but lost that when I had to free up space on my IPad for Baldur's Gate. I've got it back on there now, but lost my old leagues. Should have tried to transfer them off I suppose. Oh well. It was cool seeing some of my guys breaking some all time records. This post was talking about two of the guys from about midway into that league.

Believe it or not, Rose still holds, Bonds (single and career) still holds, although there is a player that is 29 who has 400+ HR. I will see how that turns out. He is locked up by CWS for now (4 years/21M), but I will not pick him up unless his asking price goes down.
