Ipad Mini Problem
Just got the new Ipad mini and the game does not work properly on it. The display only takes up about a fourth of the screen, the upper left quarter of the screen, very tiny. so Sad.
also tried the iphone version and it does not work either. Help? |

no reply
Well, it will not work and I am disappointed that nobody from the company has responded to this post yet. I do not know if they are aware of it or not. I work for Apple and was informed that any program that works on Ipad 2 will work on Ipad Mini...not so! This game is unplayable on the ipad mini. I wish we could get an update that will fix the problem. Sure is disappointing. Thanks at least for replying...you are the only one so far.

I don't have an iPad Mini so I can't test it. I only can speculate that the game recognizes the device as iPhone, loading the iPhone skin. I have no idea how it looks when the iPad Mini loads the iPad skin (everything is optimized for the iPad screen size), will it just scale everything down?

I'm right, iOOTP does not know the iPad Mini so it assumes an iPhone and loads the wrong Skin.
I will fix it but I have no idea if the iPad Mini scales the skin down on it's own and how it will look then. I will keep you informed.

Just an update:
I have a possible fix for the problem, I'm just waiting for an iPad Mini to test it.

Kind of good news/bad news: Markus got his iPad Mini earlier then expected (good news), I added a fix that might get it working on the iPad Mini but, and thats the bad news and the reason I did not follow up with you): the number of test devices is limited and deleted devices still count against the limit until once a year they get removed. So now I have to figure out a way to test it on Markus device.

am I the only one
Thx for info. Am I the only one in existence trying to run it on an Ipad mini? I am surprised there has not been a number of people contacting your customer service department

With the speed Apple releases "new" hardware it is tough to stay up to date.
![]() But good news: I found a way to add Markus' iPad Mini, he tested the version on it and it worked. Once the game knows it runs on an iPad Mini it will load the correct (iPad) Skin, the rest is done by Apple. So if nothing unexpected happens (I have to test it on all my devices to make sure I did not broke anything) I will upload the fix to Apple tomorrow morning (German time).

Hi. I just got my new iPad Mini and tried playing iOOTP and it was all over the screen. Good to see that others have noted the issue and it'll be fixed. Thanks.
