No free agents?
Ok, I just updated to version 13 from version 9 and set up a league based on a certain year. However there are no free agents, did I miss something in the set up?

I just started a fictional league from scratch and noticed that the free agent pool is empty in this league as well. However, that was before the inaugural draft! As soon as I advanced a day, the draft occurred and the undrafted players were thrown into the free agent pool. Now, if neither of these situations fits your current dilemma, please realize that, if you assume Commissioner powers in your Manager options, you can go to the free agent screen and create as many free agents as you need to properly service your league's future team roster needs. Just click Create Fictional Player(s), set the types of players to be created (the choices are self-explanatory) and scroll down to enter the number of players to be created.

If you started an historical league there won't be any Free Agents, so yes that is normal. Check recently retired players for layers who missed that season either due to injury, played in minors that year or missed that year due to being a FA.
