Detroit Tigers 2012 Season Thread

The Tigers open today (Thursday the 5th) at Home versus Boston, at 1:05 EDT. Game will be televised on FS-D and ESPN2.

Here's the lineup:

1. Austin Jackson, CF

2. Brennan Boesch, RF

3. Miguel Cabrera, 3B

4. Prince Fielder, 1B

5. Delmon Young, LF

6. Ryan Raburn, DH

7. Jhonny Peralta, SS

8. Alex Avila, C

9. Ramon Santiago, 2B

Justin Verlander, SP

Will I need to get comfortable with watching 300 lumbering pounds of firstbaseman ground into a lot of double plays this year?

I think I can do that, just need to prepare myself.
