Custom Awards

How does the Customs Awards work? Is there a prompt at the end of the season after all the other awards are given? And I assume this award would have to be manually awarded by me.

Thanks. I must have always missed the chance to select Custom Awards. I assumed there would be some sort of prompt. Now I know to do myself right at season's end. Thanks again.
