OOTP Developments announces Franchise Hockey Manager

There's not going to be much in here that's new for anyone who's been reading the forum regularly, but if you want to have a look, here it is. One thing that is new is the official confirmation that yes, there will be a new version next year. That's not to say we've made any decisions about what's going in it yet (we've got plenty of things for the current version to think about first), just that regular annual development is indeed the plan going forward (developer sanity permitting.)

I have a to-do list that is good for 10 new versions, no way we stop now.

A September 3rd release? I thought it was originally slated for mid-September, the 15th or so wasn't it?

Nope, it's always been the 3rd.

My goal is to contribute ideas to double that list. Great news for a commitment to a FHM15 this soon. Very nice to make that official.

Good to see that this will be supported well beyond the release date

It's a hallmark of OOTPDev. OOTP is worked on for months post-release every dev cycle.

It's one of the big reasons OOTPDev will always have my support.

100% the same for me. I will be buying the new version on preorder when that one comes up.. A little early to think about that but I know I will be.

Just curious, I don't know much about OOTP development and only heard good stuff. But if they're so small ( just two or three guys )

How are they gonna update and support three games at the same time?
I've been here for about a more or a little more and from my impression they have only worked on FHM development.

I mean at some point they have to switch back to OOTP right ?

No, as far as I'm aware the FHM devs aren't working on OOTPB. OOTPB has its own dev team. However, Sebastian does also work on iOOPB (the mobile/tablet version of OOTPB).

Great news!

Have you guys considered doing some advertising on places like Hockeysfuture? It's a fan run site, so it might be a cost effective way to get the word out.

Okay thanks.. Makes sense, else it would be too much to handle.
