Schedule Request: 2 Leagues, 6 teams ea., no div. + more
Thank you in advance to whoever may be able to help.
I'm trying to create a schedule that's a bit strange: 2 leagues of 6 teams each (no divisions, no interleague) 50 game schedule All 2-game series with games on Saturdays and Sundays only...no games through the week. Runs April through September over 25 weekends. Let me know if you need any more information. God Bless! -ckuesper |

Do you need an all-star game break? 2 options - add a weekend to have no games played and put the allstar game here ( 26 weeks )or - 25 straight weekends and if you want an all star break just put it in any week during the season on a day other than sat-sun ( maybe a tue,wed or thur game ) Is there a specific time you want the games to start? My current schedule just has "d" or "n" in it so can change the file at creation to any start time you want for the games. I can have the schedule created to whatever times you want day, night, or mixture. Please reply back as soon as possible, I'll start the conversion now and wait for your reply to tweak it to meet any all-star and/or scheduled times request. James

THANK YOU!!!
If you'd like to start the calendar for the first weekend in April, that would be great. No All-Star Break needed, but I'm cool with whatever you have. Beggars can't be choosers. No specific times either, but if you can make most night games, that's cool. Thanks again, James! |

Schedule completed
I have created 3 versions of this schedule.
Schedule 1: each team plays either 6H/4A or 4H/6A, but due to the number of opponents being an odd number the teams play either 26H/24A or 24H/26A. A flipped version of the file was created so that you have 50H/50A after the second season. Schedule 2: each team will play 6H/6A against 2 opp, 4H/4A against 2 opp and 5H/5A against 1 opp. This will bring the home/away series for each team to 25H/25A. A flipped version was created so all teams will be at 10H/10A after the second series. 3 series (but only a total of 3 games) were changed to be a home/away series. Schedule 3: each team plays 5H/5A against each opponent. This means that the schedule is 25H/25A as well as being 5H/5A against individual opp. No flipped version needed as everyone plays everyone the same number of games home and away. The only down side is that this schedule required a total of 15 games to be changed to a home/away series. 300 games are played a season so it is a small percentage of the total number of games. I rank them how I would prefer to play them as: 1. Schedule 2 even though it requires the flip 2. Schedule 3 I don't like have a H/A series but it is a good trade off to have only 1 schedule. 3. Schedule 1 some players would not want to have a different number of total home and away games but there are no split H/A series. Also requires a flip schedule. A cool thing would also use them all changing in each year and you get a good mixture of matchups, with it all averaging out after all 5 have been played. I kind of like these schedules for a short season A league or a college league (although 6 months is long for a college league) James

FYI...I decided on Schedule 3. My league is completely based in Indiana, with a Northern League and a Southern League. The home-and-home matchups on certain weekends work out well, actually. I like that for "jazzing up" the schedule a bit.
