2 quick questions

I've set up a fictional league using historical players that I imported. I just had two questions.

1. I've tried switching some of the players positions and the game keeps switcihng them back. For example, the year I chose for Albert Pujols must have been one when he played LF. I want him as a first baseman. I've done the "Switch Postions" button at the bottom. I've also gone into player editor and switched his postion to 1b that way, and it always puts him back as a LF. Am I missing something? It does allow me to put him at 1B when putting together line-ups, but my question then is "will his defensive stats stink as a 1B and he'll be making all sort of errors?"

2. Can someone explain to me the stats that players get? I chose a year for Walter Johnson in which is ERA was 1.14 and he won over 30 games. But, under the stats that the game gives, it says that his velocity is 80-83 and his "stuff" is rated as a "1". I've not found anywhere where these numbers are explained so any help with that would be great. But, why would Walter Johnson be the games worst pitcher when I imported arguably one of the best seasons that a pitcher has ever had. Another example is that Lou Brock gets a 3 for stolen bases when the year I imported he stole 118. Alex Rodriguez stole about 15 and his stolen bases ranking is like an 18. I don't get it.

Any help would be great. Thanks!

1. When you edit him did you give him any rating for 1B? Are you controlling you team or is the AI? Did you rescout him? I tried listing Honus Wagner at SS vs CF his rookie year and he sucked at SS with 37 e, but wasn't a SS til I believe his 3rd season.
2. For Big Train he wont be a 10 in anything for Stuff usually. I have myself as a clone of Johnson and I have 10 stuff only because I am no longer Johnson. Most 1871-1950 SP won't be higher then 5 (1-10) for Stuff. How good is your scout?
To me is seem either your scout is wrong or your import option are different then mine. Also Do a rescout on each and see what they are after vs when you 1st import.

I didn't edit his defensive numbers as a first baseman. I wasn't aware that I could do that. I don't have my game up right now, but I'll see if I can figure that out.

I've been running my own team and wasn't using the Scout option. I just imported his historical season, went to see his numbers, and noticed that they aren't good, which seemed weird considering his real season stats. Is there a way to edit those numbers? Do I need to?

I have two other in game questions that maybe you could answer for me. I'm in a league with my son, dad, etc. I've tried to set their batting lineups/pitching rotation, but every time I do the computer switches them again. Is there a way to permanently change the line-up and rotation of the teams that aren't yours? Also, some of them would like to manage their team and watch an actual game, but at this point, when my game ends their games are already done. They can look at box scores, but not an actual game. Is there a way that I could jump in and watch the games for all the teams in my league and not just my own? Thanks for all your help!

After you import a player, say for the Ammy Draft, wait a few days, ask for a scouting report or do a league wide rescout (under League Setup - Functions) and he will get rescouted and look more like he should.

Add them as GM's under the Manger Menu - Add/Edit Human Manager. Put them with whichever teams they want and it shouldn't change their teams. Other people may have a better answer for you then that, since I have not used that option since 11. If you play in Commissioner mode you should be able to watch all games.

Game, Thank you. That mostly worked. I was able to manage both teams, but when I did the other games played automatically. I'm in a league with both of my sons. And they both wanted to watch/play their games out. One of them played and then the other found out that his game was over. Here's my question. Is there a way for one of them to play his game with his team and then the other one to play out his game and not have the computer do it automatically? Also, when they weren't able to manage their teams, line-ups were chosen automatically again, and they were weird (catcher leading off and Dimaggio batting 9th) I'd love to know how to permanently set line-ups to where they never get changed as well. Any help would be much appreciated. Thank you!

In the very bottom left of the initial game screen, where it shows you the lineups for the day, there is an option called something like "Simulate world in background". Set that to "No" or "Off" (I forget the specifics) and only that one game will be played. Then you can go back and watch the others.

Then hit the check mark to finish the rest of everything or do auto-play today to just sim the rest of the games.

Thanx for the save, I had forgotten to tell him to turn that off.
