Ignore all the CBA stuff and keep coding!
Don't let the NHL/NHLPA stuff get in the way of WTHM...please!

The obvious solution is to code in every possible permutation and combination of any "alternate view of the hockey world" CBA that anyone could ever possibly dream up for any professional league in the world as options.


Or, just keep coding with a couple of basic combinations of what a CBA might encompass. But either way, don't stop!!!

Can't wait for the first word on WHTM. Hockey season is coming!

Frankly I'd prefer to forget the CBA altogether. Just create a sensible financial side to the game and update that in future versions based on user feedback and what may or may not happen in the real world.

Beside, given the current climate we'll be playing this game before the NHL plays any of theirs.

I'm sure almost anything is possible given the right amount of time but we all know they have to prioritize. I wouldn't expect it in the game.

IMO there wouldn't be much point for fictional leagues unless the user has a way to impact the manner in which events unfold. Otherwise it should be limited to historical leagues.

Agreed, but it would be pretty cool as a stroyline if it could be made to work properly.

with all this bad news of the lockout which seems now like it will happen for sure (as they're going to run out of time) it'd be nice for another screenshot of some WTH official news to brighten our days
