Question License needs releasing.

Well, as I have mentioned before, my laptop that I had OOTP 13 on has crashed. Unfortunately this was the 2nd time it happened, so I have used both of my licenses. I decided to install it on my (slow) desktop computer now, but I need to get my licenses released in order to play. I have issued a support ticket, but I am not sure if that is how it is done, do I need to do anything with eSellerate myself? If so, what exactly? Their support system is not the best there is, and I don't know how long it will take them to get back to me.

Yes you should contact esellerate.

To elaborate OOTP pay a substantial amount to the license folk. The very least we can do is make them earn it.

Paco: If you have not received a response from the gentleman that handles license issues by now, then I recommend that you PM Andreas with your order number and/or OOTP 13 Serial Number and he will very gladly reset your license for you.

That's nice if it happens but why is esellerate so slow? They do get paid.

Rich: I'm not sure why eSellerate is so slow or even why our gentleman that handles license issues has not responded to Paco's ticket but I can assure you and Paco that Andreas will reset his license as soon as Paco provides Andreas with the info that I mentioned. Andreas is pretty quick at responding to customer issues.

I'm certainly not saying that this is the case here, but corporations have been known in the past to view customer/tech support as a non-revenue activity and deprioritize it accordingly.

Or maybe the guy who handles this could be sick, on travel, in training, on vacation, etc.

Stuff happens. Not every response in this life is going to be instantaneous.

Five thousand thanks for a non-modder? I never thought I'd see the day. Thank you for your support.

My point, badly made, was the expectation that OOTP is responsible for license issues when it is actually eSellerate. I think they may have many more people than OOTP and they claim 24/7 customer service.

I could tell you any of several dozen customer service horror stories that I know of but let me just cut to the chase and say that there really can be a tremendous gap between such claims and reality.
