So, it makes sense for a league with a salary cap of $65 mil to set the individual team budgets to $65 mil. Each team is provided $65 million with a national media revenue contract and minimal gate revenue of $1/ticket.
My question is, if the league's teams currently have budgets of $130-220 million and the budgets are reduced via editing to $65 million each will that cause player contract demands (for extensions and free agency) to be lower than they currently are?
