Add league issue/problem
No, I'm not looking to add leagues to an existing association, I know that's been discussed; this is about after initially creating a universe, when you attempt to add a league to the universe, you can only create it using the wizard, the advanced mode is greyed out. This creates a number of issues which I think can be worked around after the fact, but it's a pain. Is this intentional or no? Or did I miss a button. In which case my shirt would be lopsided.

What issues are created?
It appears that you're correct that you have to use the wizard, but you can change advanced settings after the fact. What issues does this create? I've gone in and changed advanced settings after creating leagues before, and I never had a problem. |

Even though this isn't a bug, I'd submit it as one in the hope that Markus could enable the advanced mode with the next patch.

this is something that is causing me some serious struggles. every time I try to add a new league it creates tons of super players in the league, even if I delete all the players and refill again with the lower PCM, league set up as a Single A team, etc. I can't find a way to add a new league mid-game without it being full of great players

I thought that you could change PCM's upon new league creation. I haven't added a league on 13 yet but I will in a few months. I set up my last league the Australian Baseball League to 1990 PCM's 1960 financials. |

this is a tedious workaround, hopefully we can get the advanced button cleared that would solve the problems easily and this is a really important deal for everyone wanting multiple leagues at varying talent levels

I agree. The workaround is tedious and potentially difficult for new players, and this should be much simplier.
Also, since no one mentioned it in this post, a better workaround to creat a lower level independent league (as the example for Belgium), you can create a "add minor league" in one of your major leagues (A/AA/AAA, doesn't matter much). Afterwards, edit the league settings to your likings, delete the association with the parent league, then fill the league with fictional players (after editing League Nation and PCM's, most importantly). You can add/delete teams and edit the league rules/structure/financials to your liking without having to delete created players (since, when adding a minor league, the game doesn't generate players to fill the league). Tried both and I think the fictional league deleting the people who are too good for the league is a little simpler as the ages can at times be hard to get the right distribution on when adding a minor league. It seems like an easy fix if we were allowed to simply set pcm's before creating the league.
Thanks for the help, I will be able to get to what I want thanks to your help. A little longer than seems necessary but still can't complain too much, still a brilliant game |
