Playing offline

Do you have to be connected to the internet to play? When I try to play offline, the game asks me to enter my license number again, and when I do it says "the game could not be activated. Please try again in a few minutes."

I normally play with my computer connected to the internet, but I will be traveling and was hoping to play it then.

You need an Internet connection to activate the license. After that you won't need the connection anymore.

Hmmm ... maybe I'm doing something wrong. I've been playing it for months online, but when I disconnect it prompts me to enter the license code every time. I've had past versions and never had this issue.

The only thing I can think of is to unlicense and relicense that install, on the thinking that something didn't get processed through all the way when you did it the first time. That is complete conjecture on my part though.
