Online League idea.

I was going to open up my Skelphland Baseball League to online play but still not happy with the database and such, hopefully it will eventually be an online league that’s my dream anyway. In the meantime though I was thinking of a solo league idea one that I could run while I'm working on the SBL, well I came up with the idea of using the MLB from 1901 and throwing in a few independent leagues that's why I opened this thread.

Anyway I then started thinking of why not an online league, now first of this is in the very early stages and I mean maybe even OOTP14 stages but wanted to see what people thought.

My idea is this, open the league in 1901 or at the latest around 1910. Have the MLB with the old two leagues of 8 teams and staying like that through the history of the league although with the possibility of expansion depending on the interest, each team would be run by a GM. Now onto the part I don't think has been done before, what I was thinking of having was say 6,7 or at most 8 independent leagues with 6-8 teams within each league depending on their history what would be different though is those teams wouldn't be run by a GM instead the league would be run by a commissioner. Now the commish wouldn't do any simming, I'd do that but they would run their own league, trading, free agency etc. they would also sell players to the MLB. So in essence what the league would have is 16 GM's running teams in the MLB and 6 commish running the Indy leagues.

The players within the league would be mostly real players with cloned players to fill in but using real player names for players not in any database that played in the Indy leagues or maybe even a negro league, players would start of in the Indy leagues an example being Jackie Robinson playing for the Kansas City Monarchs, draft wise and such for the future I haven't 100% thought about it as I say it's in the very early stages.

Bit long winded I know but was just wanting to see if a league of 16 GM's and 6 Commissioners would work and what would be the pros and cons of such a league.
