Question on World Series

Is the game set up to use the All Star game as the determiner of homefield advantage? It isn't working if so, because I've now been to 30+ of them, and have been the home team every time, and I've gone and checked on a few years and saw my league did not win the AS game. It also doesn't seem to be based on record since I've played against teams with better records. Is it a human team is always the home team thing? I hope not. Hoping it's just something out of whack somewhere that's easily fixable.

It should be exactly like in OOTP and (maybe I'm wrong) Markus did not like the ASG decision system. But I have to look it up to be sure.

I don't care for it myself, but I shouldn't be the home team every time. At least base it on records if not using the ASG result.
