Should I?

Hey everyone, first time poster here. Been lurking these forums for a few months. Just wanted to get some of your opinions. I am a diehard/hardcore hockey fan and baseball follows right behind it. I've been playing EHM 2007 (Eastside Hockey Manager) and I am looking to navigate to a new sport. I might eventually buy the OOTP 13 for my Mac but for the time being I was looking at iOOTP for my iPhone. Just wanted to get some feedback from some of you if its worth it or not. I was browsing the pc/mac forums and that version looks OUTSTANDING! I know this is a mobile version so it doesn't have all the bells and whistles but in general is it a satisfying experience? Just looking for some input from everybody! Thanks for your time!

GO RED SOX, GO TIGERS!

Check the feedback for the game in the App Store. I'm a 2 yr. newbie both with OOTP and iOOTP. I fine the latter an amazing game for a mobile. What Palli has done with Markus code transfer to this mobile game is remarkable. All the stats, txt, screens etc. that he has packed into this game is certainly a feat. And at the price, it blows me away. Many folks actually prefer this game over the full version because it's more compact, yet very satisfying. I will let folks with much more experience give you a more nuts and bolts explanation. But you just can't go wrong imho. Enjoy!

One of the best value games by far on the app store. If you like either baseball or management games you will love this. You have tonnes of features lots of modes and variations and its great fun. Its definitely worth a purchase if you are considering it at all.

I saw you were a Red Sox fan so I wasn't going to answer. Just kidding.

The game is unbelievable for $5. It doesn't have all the features of the MAC version but is truly outstanding for a mobile device. For the price it is a no brainier. Very deep in features and constantly updated. And most important the designers follow this board, post to this board, read and understand our issues and concerns. And get ready for this "fix the issues and try to make everyone happy".

I have only been playing OOTP for about 4 years but have been playing IOOTP since the beginning and can't say enough good things about it.

Buy it you won't regret it.

Oh and "Go Yankees".

Thanks for the generous responses everyone! I think I am going to make the purchase right now! It really does look fantastic. I love the fact that I will be able to play it anywhere anytime! I just need to buy an iPad next so I can see a little better :P Anyways I have a few more generic questions. I am sure they are answered somewhere within all these threads but I don't see a problem asking again!

As seeing this is the mobile version, does it still compile all the stats so you can go back and check pervious seasons? For example I want to see what Prince Fielder's batting average or how many home runs he hit in 2012 (Lets say its 2017 in my save file).

Does it include the hall of fame and player awards and what not?

Are there many mods for the mobile version? I know there is the logo mod which I read up upon, but just curious what other if any mods are available for this app!

Sorry for all the "newbie" questions, but I just love this kind of stuff/games!

Ahh I responded to this already but its not showing up?! Anyways I will try to remember what I typed earlier!

First off thank you to everyone that has responded. I think I am going to just have to purchase this game right now! I do have a few other small questions, not sure if these have been answered somewhere else already so I will just go ahead and ask them.

First off I know this the iPhone version but does a given save file save all the history? For example if I want to go and look at Price Fielder's batting average or how many home runs he it in 2013 can I? (Lets say in game its 2017).

Also I did scope out the mods thread but are there any other mods for the mobile version outside of updating the teams logos to there real life counterparts? Just seeing if there is anything else to make my experience more realistic.

As far as rosters go is there a spot where I can mod them before I start a season? Or anything of the sort. For example Brandon Inge was cut by the Detroit Tigers and signed by the Oakland A's. Is there a way I can make this happen, or do you have to wait for an update?

Does the mobile version include things like Hall of fame/history and awards and who won them each year and what not?

Thanks again to everyone who has taken some time out to respond to this thread! Greatly appreciate it!! (Even if some of you are Yankee's fans)

Thanks for the responses everyone!

Good game so far, I am enjoying it! I did check the mods section but are there any other mods for this mobile app besides the logos?

Anyway to alter the rosters from what they currently are? I did have more questions and responded to this thread two times a few days ago but for some reason my posts needed to "get approved" and doesn't look like they were.

UGH, now my posts are there lol! Forgot this post!
