Something this game desperately needs...

I have a bunch of friends, who had never heard of OOTP anything before I turned them on to iOOTP for iPhone/iPad.

Five or six of them have purchased OOTP 13. I've already gotten two phone calls from people saying "OMG what did I get myself into this was a mistake it's too complicated for me..."

Consdiering that there are going to be a number of people coming to OOTP 13 in the same way--through iOOTP--there needs, DESPERATELY, to be a way for these people to not have to feel so overwhelmed right off the bat. Which could be done, very easily, but having a button, ONE button, that you could use to have the league settings mirror iOOTP's (i.e. no 40-man rosters, no waiver rule, etc.). This should be a priority as soon as possible, otherwise you're going to get a lot of newbies who are going to get turned off by OOTP 13's complexity and never come back.

I'd think one would expect a computer game to be more in depth and not a straight port of an iOS. There's also the free version people can try.

The beauty of OOTP is its ability to be customized in a miriad of ways. Although it seems a bit overwhelming when you're new to the game, these options you speak of can easily be disabled in league setup.

The included MAL (MLB Quickstart) is a good starting point for new players. It's set up to mirror real baseball as much as possible.

I understand not everyone likes that kind of customizing, but it's really not difficult to learn at all as long as you have a basic knowledge of the game.

The other thing, there are literally 100's of people on these forums more than happy to lend a helping hand to new players.

If you have questions - ask - they'll get answered pretty quickly.
