Waiver question
Gotta admit, I haven't been around since middle of last summer for various reasons, so I might have missed something, but I'm wondering if there is an issue with a problem I had crop up last year?
Basically, when beginning the initial season of a new major league season, prior to the beginning of the season, many of the top prospects in the game are put on the waiver list and you are allowed to claim them. Not very realistic at all. I remember this was discussed last year, but was anything ever figured out on how to solve the issue? Thanks in advance for any advice. By the way, haven't had a lot of time with 13 today, but what I've seen looks great overall! My birthday tomorrow, so this was a great present this year! |

I can't say the problem has vanished, but in the vast majority of our explorations and various setups it was at least minimized and took a great deal of 'looking' to find those instances.

Well, the first league I set up had between 20-30 players with potential ratings of 70 or higher (on 20-80 rating system) on waivers at the start. Pretty much every team had one or more of their absolute top prospects on the waiver list.
Tried changing several settings, but so far haven't found the key for stopping this. It seems other teams don't claim many - I suppose because they have already waived their own - but I can claim as many as I want and basically gain most of the league's top prospects for free. |
