Minnesota Timberwolves TOO white?

Are Minnesota Timberwolves Too White? | ThePostGame

Apparently civil rights advocates in Minnesota are complaining that the Wolves are intentionally signing white players in order to boost their fanbase in a mostly white state. Let's break this into two question:

1) What do you think about the civil rights claims?
2) Will this even effect their on court performance?

Is this an actual issue or yet another thing the media is blowing out of proportion?

The fact this is even being asked makes it hilariously sad...

There is nothing to this story. Period. I'm not calling you out, molar...but, it's not worth discussing. This is a non-story that someone has worked up. The history of the Wolves under Glen Taylor shows there's nothing to it. There's nothing to suggest Kahn has a racist bone in his body and Adelman has been around the NBA too long to have a hand in this.

These are the best players available to the Wolves. Minnesota is not a high-destination for players right now. It's also not like all of these guys are Americanly white...they're from all over the world. It's a joke (again, no offense to you...you're just posting the story) that this is even suggested.

It's gotta be insulting to the Wolves for this to be even brought up.

At least the reporter didn't go ask PETA if they think KFC sells too much chicken.

I agree with you Morse, the fact that it's even brought up is just sad. I think it's just coincidence, this isn't a bad team and it's who wanted to come to Minnesota. Maybe this would be better off in OT Debates where the issue of racism being overplayed again in the media.

I'm more curious to see how it plays out on the court, there hasn't been a higher percentage of white players on a team since the 1980s Celtics and that turned out pretty well for them.

If we are talking about diversity, Timberwolves are actually the most diverse. The least diverse team would be Miami Heat, where almost all players are black.

The Timberwolves have not made the playoffs since 2004. So yeah, they probably are too white

But seriously, Rubio and Alexey Shved don't really count since they are European.
The Wolves biggest problem is not their whiteness, it is that they have way too much David Kahhhhhnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!! !!!

Just because I think it's a pointless article, doesn't mean it couldn't generate some discussion, which I thought it could do.

It's borderline libelous. Totally baseless, and based on nothing except a few opinions. Even as a huge supporter of civil rights, I find this ridiculous.

That being said, I couldn't agree more that it's worth bringing up for discussion!
