OOTP5 League Import

I currently have 4 separate leagues: Major League, Class AAA, Class AA and Class A.

Will I be able to import them into OOTP5 as one unit, that is, all of these leagues would be on the "transactions" screen and allow me to promote and demote players from one league to another.

What do you mean Seperate Leagues. Do you have to use the Open League function to see the leagues currently?

Or are you referring to the games minor league system?

You will be able to import one league folder at a time. So if you can access all of your leagues without having to open another league folder then you will be able to import them into OOTP5 with no issue.

Yes, I have to open each league separately.

I do it this way so I can play the minor league games and have stats and box scores. I manually promote and demote players from one league to another because only one league is on the "transactions" screen. The minors are disabled in all my leagues.

Will I be able to import these 4 separate leagues and combine them into one league in OOTP5? This would make transactions easier and a player's history would be contained in one league, not four as it is now.

No - assuming outside utils are made that are available currently for OOTP4, the best you could do is import players from one league to another, just like you can do now.

Which outside utility would you suggest for importing players?

Would I have to import each individual player?

Or is it possible to import a league?

I'm a computer and game novice.

Do the utilities provide instructions to download them?

Thanks for you help.

Currently there is a utility that can import individual players from one league to another. It can't do leagues though. A good example of how this tool can be used is to have one league called College.lg and the other called mlb2002.lg. If you were really hardcore you could start a players career in college (College.lg) then import that player for the MLB draft.

It has the ability to transfer teams and/or players between OOTP4 STB2003 leagues. You can choose either to transfer W/L record and other team stat info or not.

I have not tested this a great deal but did import both ways and then simmed a week of games and had no issues. So BACKUP you league before doing anything.

Also, players can:

-Take the place of a current roster of players(team "getting" players keeps the original team name).
-Be added to the roster of current players.
-Be added to the free agent pool.

however, OOTP5 will feature minor league games, boxscores, and standings, so this would all be taken care of for you.
