2012 WInter Classic

Figured I'd start a thread on this at the last minute as it seems to have become the 2nd coming in the Philly area. I don't follow the NHL religiously but do follow the flyers, and am excited about the game tomorrow. The alumni game they had a couple days ago was well done, and I'm thinking the game tomorrow should be electric as well.

Controversy as of now that the Flyers are going with Bobrovsky their backup instead of Bryzgalov their starter. Wouldn't be that controversial especially cause he's playing much better than him right now, but considering the fact that 1. he announced to reporters today he wasn't starting against the wishes of his coach who wanted to keep the decision hidden and 2. was just signed to a 9 year $51 mil deal this past offseason, it is.

I had thought the game was to be played on January 1st or December 31st. Nice to know i didnt miss it. I am not a big hockey fan but i do watch 30-50 Hawks games per yr.

Fun game. Some pretty terrible officiating in the last few minutes, but both teams kind of got hosed equally it seemed.
