Cursed to Cured: Chicago Cubs (updates on Twitter)!

I have decided to start with the Chicago Cubs (after simming 2011) in 2012. I simmed the season and actually made it so that the Cardinals beat the Rangers in the World Series, as well as making sure that all of the free agents in this class made it to free agency (Pujols, Reyes, Wilson, Fielder, etc.).

I will be taking over a Cubs team in disarray. Instead of writing a crazy amount of detail, I have decided to use Twitter to update. If you have twitter and want to follow along the handle is @CursedCured - alternatively, you can click on the above link and follow the tweets. I posted quite a few of them to get up to speed. My "name" is Parker Campbell and I was hired away from the rival and World Champion St. Louis Cardinals.

Does anybody know if it is possible to display tweets in these forums? Anyway, I'll post here occasionally to bump this.

IRL, I was really happy that the Cubs didn't hire Sandberg as their Manager. They already stole him from the Phillies once, and I would have hated to see it done again. Word is he's been guaranteed the Phillies managerial job when Charlie retires(prolly after this year).

Also, I am open to suggestions. I don't want to fill up anybody's timeline too much - right now I am excited and probably posting too many details (like other players signing with other teams, trades, etc.) We will see how it goes.

A little update for those not following...

We did hire Ryne Sandberg away from the PhillieFever's Phils to begin a new era. We also decided to let Carlos Pena, Aramis Ramirez and Kosuke Fukudome walk into free agency. Parker made his first big move by trading Randy Wells and two good minor league prospects to Miami for Gaby Sanchez. We quickly signed him to a 6-year deal at what we think is a fair price ($33 Million). He will join Starlin Castro as the new faces for the franchise.

In other news, Albert Pujols really did sign with the Angels! I had no effect on that. It was for only four-year though (at $111 Million - $27+ AAV). The Cardinals got back at Pujols for leaving by inking Prince Fielder the next day! Pretty exciting off-season stuff going on. We are at the Winter Meetings right now trying like hell to find somebody to take this Soriano contract...which doesn't appear to be happening.

I thought this was another dynasty. Some one else has a Cubs one called from Cursed to Blessed. Must be a Chicago thing :/
