Possible Gold Glove Bug?

I am doing my Gold Glove awards and I noticed that the GG winner ( When I ask Computer) is an MR for LF & RF.....he hasnt played either position. I gave the LF GG to Danny bautista with 56 games played in LF 4 A 0 E and the RF GG to Eduardo Perez 67 G 8 a 5 E...wondering why I have an MR listed when I ask PC.

Yeah, gold glove awards have a tendency to get screwed up. I had an infielder who won the gold glove for an outfield position -- in the other league. It was bizarre. Not sure what causes this, although I suspect it may be due to the fact that a position doesn't have anyone who played the minimum number of games, so the computer just picks someone at random for the GG award at that position.

Sounds like the AI was programmed with the actual 15-30 brain cells used in real life GG voting.

I just had this happen yesterday. A starting pitcher won it for OF/CF but has never played either in his career.

Sounds relistic to me. Rafael Palmeiro won the 1B Gold Glove one year as the best fielding DH.

in 27 games at 1B he was good.
