Year 1

Year 1 (76-86) 3rd in AL West

Our pitching was great, with the AL's best bullpen and the 5th best rotation ERA-wise. The bats were average at 6th in BA, but every other category was 10th or lower, need some power! Kendry Morales had a terrific season as did Tim Salmon and Mark Trumbo, but Howie Kendrick/Maicer Izturis were terrible and might be replaced come next season. Vernon Wells was atrocious but his contract is hard to move, he will be given a small chance next year.

Rd 1 matchups:

Tigers vs Red Sox (Sox sweep)
Athletics vs Rays (Rays in 5)
Giants vs Mets (Mets in 5)
Dodgers vs Brewers (Brewers in 5)

Rd 2:

Rays vs Red Sox (Rays in 7)
Brewers vs Mets (Brewers sweep)

WS Winner: Brewers (beat Rays in 5!)

BA Leader: Ty Cobb .416
HR Leader: Sammy Sosa 59
RBI Leader: Sammy Sosa 140
SB Leader: Rickey Henderson 90
ERA Leader: Chris Carpenter 2.67
Wins Leader: Jaime Garcia 21
Saves Leader: 41 Papelbon
Shutouts: Kevin Brown/Greg Maddux 3

Cy Young: Josh Beckett (19-8 2.82) and Fernando Valenzuela (18-9 2.84)
Slugger Award: Babe Ruth (.368/49/123) and Barry Bonds (.335/49/139)

Prospect Report:

AAA OF Mike Trout .251 16hr 63rbi 48sb
A LF Cesar Gonzales (our 1st rd draft pick) .308 17hr 65rbi
R RF Manual Garcia (founded in Mexico) .160 3hr 18rbi 13sb
A RF Gerard Fletcher (4th rd dradt pick) .289 4hr 41rbi 9sb
AA SP Garret Richards 14-8 3.58 ERA 1.24 WHIP
R SP Esteban Andrade (founded in Mexico) 3-3 6.80 ERA 1.83 WHIP

Finally, Evolution has increased the Active Roster to 26!

Year 2 - April

May (23-29) 13 1/2 games back in AL West

Same story here, pitching is among the best but bats are among the worst. Jose Reyes has been a huge disappointment and Izturis/Aybar/Amarista combo at 2B has been atrocious. Vernon Wells joined Rich Thompson on the DL where Jordan Walden remains.

Batters of the Month: Miguel Cabrera/Barry Bonds

Year 3 - April

April (12-12) 2 games back in AL West
Offense has looked quite nice with Morales hitting .389 and Jose Reyes looks to have recovered after a bad year! Starters still rank 2nd, although the bullpen has sucked big time. Catching combo of Flores/Conger will hopefully be good all year.

Batters of the Month: Chris Davis/Mike Schmidt
Pitchers of the Month: Joaquin Benoit/Mat Latos

The starting pitching has finally dropped! The offense was actually quite well in July, however the pitching was terrible. Matt Capps and Scott Downs were both waived and RP Antonio Davila is taking over in relief.

Batters of the Month: Babe Ruth/Carlos Quentin
Pitchers of the Month: Miguel Rodriguez/Jaime Garcia

3rd straight losing season

I was fired again for the 3rd time (each other time, put myself back on as GM). 3rd time is a charm though, and I resigned due to the latest firing. Couldn't overcome Wells' crappy contract, and giving a terrible contract to Reyes and locking up Wright long-term proved to be bad moves.

Will be starting up a new league with relatively the same rules (few tweaks include swapping ruth/cobb with more recent legends). Look for Puck's expansion adventure coming to a dynasty thread near you!
