Postseason autoplay woes

Got my team to the postseason, but even though I have my rotation set to four pitchers, strict rotation, the AI keeps tossing my ace pitcher out there -- out of order -- on short rest.

In one case, it skipped the No. 3 starter and went with a middle reliever. I don't have him listed as spot starter.

Any ideas why? And how can I stop it, other than individually setting the roster each playoff game?

Have you tried using 7-day lineups? You can tell it to use the lineups you set for a week at a time. I don't think I've seen this problem in my game since I started using them. The only time it really changes things when I use 7-day lineups is when I have an injury.
