season ended, guys up for arbitration
my season ended, I have a SP and a C facing big arbitration paydays, and I don't want to keep either. Here are my questions:
1. Can I trade them. What I mean is, does the AI "know" that they make nothing now but are about to get paid like flava flav via arbitration? I don't want to take advantage of the AI 2. Can I simply cut them, if I dont' want to go thru arbitration with them, and am just as happy to cut them loose with nothing in return. 3. If they get an arbitration award, is it immediately guaranteed? Can I cut them after they get the award, or do I have to pay them? Im assuming I'd have to pay the bastards. |

2. On the ARB screen just withdraw the offer and they will become FA's I just did that with 2 guys in my online league. 3. This isn't football, baseball $$ is guaranteed money. Once the ARB hearings come around no matter what they are given, whether it's the amount you offered them or what the arbitrator awards them to cut them you would have to pay part or all of their upcoming salary. |

The AI definitely takes in to account that they're about to earn $X from arbitration when it values them for trading.
I still find it a bit easy on 'Normal' trading difficulty to trade guys like that for roughly equivalent guys with 1 or 2 years ML service time, though. 'Hard' is a different story. |
