1983 - Phils and Dodgers - 163 games?
Both the Phillies and the Dodgers played 163 games. I can't figure out why . . . Anyone?
Thanks! |

Not just the Phillies & Dodgers, but the Expos and Padres were the other teams involved.
They were involved in games that were "ties" that were more than likely weathered out (rain) after at least 5 innings. The games were replayed later in the season and the tie games count as a game played and the statistics from the tie games also count. Last edited by captaincarl; 08-12-2011 at 04:41 AM. |

Also 1 game playoffs count as a regular season game.
