How does the game handle historical rookies?
I'm wondering what will happen come 2005. I decided to give the inaugural draft function a whirl with a historical league. Come draft time, will the rookies go to their original teams? Will there be a draft? What if I change the team city, nickname and/or abbreviation?
Thanks, Tom

It's been a couple of days without an answer to my questions, so I hope no one minds if I give it a bump.
Thanks, Tom

I think he means the Amateur Draft, not the inaugural draft. Unlike OOTP, which has the rookies stored by the year they were drafted, I don't think that iOOTP has the ability to do this due to memory issues. They create random rookies no matter what the year is, i.e. if you play in 2011 you will have random rookies created for the draft. If you start in 2009, for my understanding Stephen Strasburg will not be in the rookie draft pool, it will be filled with random rookies created for the draft. Palli can confirm this but it creates random rookies with random created names, not matter how you set the game up. I do not think that iOOTP will ever have access to the Lahman databases that OOTP does due to the limitation in memory on the ipods and ipads.
