How do we keep the AI from changing back a position change?

Every time I try making a switch to another postion.. AI will change it.

How can I make that stop?

More information needed.

For example I don't believe the AI changed it unless you clicked a button or ran a sim or some other action. By doing so you likely gave control back to the AI. It can be fixed, but tell me exactly what you did.

When I want to set a player change to another position.. It changes it at first. So, I want to make a guy who is at LF a RF.. Soon as I click AI set lineup.. It will change it back

Check your controls on manager options do you have AI controlling depth charts and lineups? If you want the AI to set lineups but not depth charts you have to control the whole process under manager options.

The only other option is to use player strategies under the player strategy tab you force the AI to play a player in a certain position. That way you can have the AI set up your depth charts and lineups but make sure a certain pitcher starts or a guy plays right instead of left. How you get to this has changed in 12. There is now a player strategy tab in the team menu once there you drag the guy you want to set strategy for to the bottom and player strategy options appear.

That's your answer. If you ask the AI to set the lineup you get the AI lineup.

If you want player A to be in RF instead of LF right click/set game strategy/force start. If you want to ensure your lineup gets used every game use 7-day lineups and don't allow subs.

Remember that the AI controls when you do not. If you want a certain batting order you need to set it yourself. Same with positions, depth chart, your minor league rosters and so on.

Force Start seems to be the solve here.. In years past AI wouldn't change it after a switch, but Force Start is my friend

Thanks guys!
