My own little niggle
Five stars for iOOTP; love it, rated it, described it in a glowing review, bravo. Something I really think would improve things, not just in iOOTP but in OOTP as well:
When in the middle of a game we go to a list of players, it is usually fairly obvious by the context and timing what stats, displays, ratings, and positions we need to see. Three examples:
--at the end of a batting half-inning, if the pitcher was pinch-hit for and needs to be replaced, we need to see pitching ratings or pitching stats. We seldom need to see batters at all.
--if we check a team list in between at-bats we are looking to PH for someone or (if we are fielding) perhaps checking the complete stats of the next guy up. In either case we don't need to see pitchers or pitching stats at all.
--in late innings, especially with the lead, or if new defensive players are on the field at the start of a half-inning or after an injury, a check of a team list usually means we are looking to improve our defense. We need to see positions and defensive ratings.
None of these are too difficult to figure out and I am sure we can think of several dozen more. OOTP and even iOOTP should be smart enough to at least make a fairly good guess -- from the context -- at why we are consulting the team screens, and display stats that are relevant to the situation. Even 80% right would be a huge improvement. I find that I almost always have to change the view or scroll through the players to see what I want to see. The default rule: show what you showed last time, is seldom correct.
But hey: thanks a million for iOOTP.
