Inaugral fantasy draft screen question

In the attached graphic, what do the numbers mean per position? The first, followed by the one in parens-- and why does it say 35 total players (53 organization).

The league rules are pretty standard- 25 active roster, 40 man secondary, five leagues including the majors per team.

Thanks.

First number is how many players are on the 40-man roster, second number is all the players the team has in the whole organization (i.e. the major league team and all its minor league affiliates).

I thought that, but it's weird: how does the game know who I want on my 40 and who I want in my minors? I looked at the screen for other teams: they would have all 11/11 pitchers on their 40.. how does it make that distinction, and really, why does it given it's the inaugural draft and I have yet to make those decisions?

It is doing it by contract. Those who have ML contracts versus those who don't.
