What Is the Deal With Photos after the Patch?

Okay, so I recently just reinstalled OOTP 11 (my Spring ritual) and now I'm finding it impossible to get photos to work. If I remember correctly, isn't the naming convention for players supposed to be: first name_last name? After copying and pasting a bunch of player photos to my games directory, and making sure all of the applicable options were marked (find player photo first enabled), there are still no photos for any of my players. Is there an option that I need to check that forces OOTP to search for photos?

I don't know why some people are having problems with photos and pictures, so I'll just offer this idea for you:

When you look into the news/html/images folders in your league saved game folder, you should see a bunch of player_XXXX.png files. The XXXX is the player ID for each player. Those files are the only photos/pictures which the game displays when you are playing your league. Any other photos/pictures in that folder (if there are any) are not displayed.

Any time I've ever run into a problem, I erased all of the player_XXXX.png files and forced the game to recreate them based on the setting in the Game Preferences/FaceGen tab. If the latter is set to select photo first, and you have the photos in the Photos folder, the new player_XXXX files, as they get created, should consist of photos. If not, then something is broken somewhere.
