Lombardi Out as General Manager

After 3 mediocre seasons as the Laker's skipper, Vince Lombardi has been asked to step down by team owner Manuel Schauermann. Schauermann has a reputation around the league for his demanding nature and unrealistic expectations from his players and staff.

In the past 3 seasons Lombardi has compiled a 254-232 record and finished in 3rd place all three seasons in Green Bay.

When asked to comment on his recent firing, Lombardi responded by saying: "Well fortunately for me I am also the commissioner of this league and I have a feeling I will be back in the Green Bay dugout next season".
