Stats Question - Career Splits and vs. Pitchers
Does anyone know if a player shows an ability to hit well vs. lefties or righties and vs. certain pitchers throughout their career, or is it just random.
For example, can Albert Pujols "own" Johan Santana, yet struggle against Mike Pelfrey consistently, so that these match ups truly mean something. |

Ok. So Pujols may "own" lefties in general, but his match ups against Santana would be based off his splits stats, not necessarily him hitting well against Santana.
It would be cool if hitters/pitchers had trouble with certain pitchers/hitters. Last edited by playball335; 01-19-2011 at 03:52 PM. |
