Hard to get fired?

I was curious if its hard to be fired... Im just going couple years in the future to see how the game handles the hiring and firing etc... and Ive had like 2-3 pretty bad seasons and the new season expectation is he doesnt expect anything... Does it really depend on who your owner is? Because this one for example is Understanding and an Economizer. I manage Texas... If I were with like an agressive Owner would I have been fired already for example?

I think "understanding" is the keyword. My owner is "Unmerciful" and "generous" and he gets extremely angry if I look like falling out of first place.I'm in my second season of my fictional league, got to the playoffs (which I think just saved my skin) but was handily beaten. on the managers page you can see how the owners mood changes depending on results.

It's pretty easy, trade the most popular player you have away and get crap in return. This in conjunction with coming in last place in the league will usually get you fired. I've had this happen a few times if I get hired by a team that has no real prospects.

in my historical league i lasted into my 3rd season with teh White Stockings(Cubs) 8-12 with Boston Red stockings and then 9 seasons with st Louis Brown stockings and 1 winning season in my final yr, I resigned and then took over the White Sox in 1882 as Owner/GM/MGR so i cant be fired.

In other fictional leagues the longest i lasted with a losing record was 13 seasons with a AA affiliate of the Yankees and the shortest was 3 seasons with the white sox where i had 2 winning seasons 1 of which in my 2nd yr i had won the world series and was 3 games under .500 at the all star break and got fired. i was also only 3.5 GB. i also was w/o my #1 SP my CL and my allstar 1B.

some owners r George Steinbrenner others r whoever owns the tenn titans and others like me r Connie mack u cant fire urself when u own the team.
