Why don't baseball teams wear white caps/helmets anymore?

I know some used to back in the early days but why not now? I think it would be cool, even if it was just the main part of the cap being white with a coloured visor.

The Cincinnati Reds had a hat in the 60s that was white with a red 'C' and a red bill. I think they have recently dug this out as an alternate look again.

All teams wear white caps on the Memorial Day now. The sales of the special cap go to Welcome Back Veterans.

to me plain white jerseys and caps r ugly...my fav uniform for any team is the ALT uniform...White Sox Sunday Black....Solid Red Cardinals, Dodger solid Blue....I am not even a fan of Road Grays.
