Windows 95?
Will OOTP 4.2 run on Windows 95?
I've searched the boards and I did not come across a definitive answer to this question. Interestingly, when I go to the homepage for .400 Software Studios, it states the following: Out of the Park Baseball 4.2 Windows 98/ME/XP/2000 | $29.90 | 12.2 MB | Available Now! However, when checking the OOTP website, it states: Operating System: Windows 95 or higher. OOTP 4 will NOT run on Windows NT because of it's missing DirectX support. OOTP 4 is tested with Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000 and Windows XP! I want to d/l the game, as the second copy of my license, onto my work computer so I can d/l my league files during the day but I don't want to jack something up on the work pc. Thanks in advance! Yep, it'll work on 95, but you need to grab a DLL for the graphics that doesn't come with 95. (MSIMG32.DLL I think; you'll probably have to grab it off a Win98 machine or search for it online)
You'll probably need to grab DirectX 8. Depending on the machne spec it might be a bit slow 8-)
