Contracts for Human Managers/GMs

I know I heard a lot of talk about this a few months ago, has it been considered for upcoming versions? I think it'd be a great feature

I think this would be great, especially if you could negotiate over your team budget and other items as part of the negotiation process.

Long overdue.

Hard to believe that it isn't in the game YET!

This is one of those things that I can't understand why they haven't been included in the game recently. Didn't we have contracts back in the days of 6 and 6.5? I certainly assumed that once SI got involved after that you would really start to see more immersive media and conrtract options available soon (for players and for the human players as GM or manager), since FM's immersion when it comes to media interaction and contract options are unsurpassed. That never really materialized during that partnership, but that certainly doesn't mean the strides can't be made in that direction with SI out of the picture.

It just never made sense to me that every player, coach and GM gets the option to have actual salaries and renegotiate these at the end of every contract....except for the human GM/Manager.

Gibson swings, and a fly ball to deep right field! This is gonna be a home run! Unbelievable! A home run for Gibson! And the Dodgers have won the game, 5 to 4; I don't believe what I just saw! I don't believe what I just saw!

Would love this. Do you sign for big money or with your favorite team? Will your owner let you out of your contract for a better deal with another team? Do you get to keep your job after a bad season because they don't want to eat your contract? Great opportunities to draw you more into your baseball world. Please work it in!

I would add on to this a bit. While I would love contracts we need something to put the money towards. Otherwise money would be rather useless. I say have something we can buy or better yet if you make enough money over time why not have the ability to buy a team?

This is an interesting point. In Football Manager, you get a contract and it will keep track of your career earnings. However, there is no real point to it because you can't do anything with the salary. And since the salary takes away from the amount you can spend on players' contracts, there is an incentive to work for less than is realistic.
