My Baseball universe. (LONG)
This is my baseball league that I've been using since OOTP 3. I've played or managed every game as the Atlanta Braves. I love how history develops a life of its own in this game. I want to share some of the things that have happened in this alternate baseball world that takes up so much of my time.
I used the default teams and settings. The only thing I edited was the players names as best I could using magazines, my own knowledge and if all else failed using other baseball games. I will start with honoring my Leagues World Series Winners. 2001 Cleveland (102-60) beats St. Louis (82-80) 4-3 2002 New York-N (96-66) beats Cleveland (96-62) 4-2 2003 New York-N (95-67) beats Texas (92-70) 4-3 2004 Pittsburgh (87-75) beats Detroit (98-64) 4-3 2005 Atlanta (107-55) beats Boston (109-53) 4-2 2006 Boston (95-67) beats Atlanta (114-48) 4-1 2007 Atlanta (123-39) beats Cleveland (96-66) 4-0 2008 Atlanta (118-44) beats Detroit (87-75) 4-2 2009 Atlanta (111-51) beats Anaheim (100-62) 4-0 2010 Detroit (86-76) beats New York-N (86-76) 4-1 2011 Atlanta (120-42) beats Texas (90-73) 4-0 2012 Boston (99-63) beats Atlanta (114-48) 4-1 For the most part larger market teams seem to be winning the big one excluding the 2004 series. As far as the division goes here is a recap of the division champs. AL EAST Red Sox : 9 Yankees :1 Baltimore :2 AL CENTRAL Indians : 8 Tigers : 3 Twins : 1 AL WEST Mariners : 2 Rangers : 5 Anaheim : 5 NL EAST Braves :12 NL CENTRAL Cardinals : 1 Astros : 2 Pirates : 2 Reds : 1 Cubs : 2 Brewers : 4 NL WEST D'Backs : 3 Dodgers : 4 Giants : 2 Rockies : 2 Padres : 1 Okay...I'm going to take a break for now but the next up will be the award winners (CY young, mvp, ROY) and the members of the Hall of Fame. |
