The definitive 19th century league needs two owners for its 16th season
The Transcontinental Base Ball Association was founded in 1870 as the world's first fully professional baseball league. Now going into the 1885 season, we need two new owners.
Last season the liveball era took hold, as batting records were smashed left and right. Unlike MLB, however, the liveball era will be here to stay, promising a more exciting brand of 19th century baseball. Sims are four times a week, two weeks at a time, so the league moves quickly. We have an extensive network of minor league teams, both affiliated and independent, with players able to be purchased from independent teams. Free agency is enabled, but delayed until 8 years instead of 6, striking a balance between players spending large portions of their careers with their original teams and the ability to more easily build a winner. The available teams are: -The Chicago Brown Stockings, led by star third baseman Cap Anson and one of the league's top shortstops King Barnes -The Detroit Shipbuilders, a rebuilder's dream, coming off a 104-loss season and seven straight years of finishing in the bottom two of their league. Please contact me via PM or respond to this thread if you are interested.

We're finishing up 1886 and we need a new owner for the Chicago Brown Stockings.
