Help! Easiest way to achieve this league setup
Here is what I'm looking to do. I want to create a Fictional League that has only 14 teams, but uses the real teams from today's American League. What is the easiest way to accomplish this so that I end up with the settings I want (i.e. modified schedule, 80 games instead of 162 etc.) while ending up with real stadiums, logos, uniforms.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, couldn't find what I was looking for while searching, but I apologize if I missed it. Bonus Questions: Does playing a shortened season negatively effect any aspect of the game like player development? How many draft rounds should I set if I use just 3 farm teams, no feeders. |

One thing I've been messing around with is creating a historical league in 2009, set the start date as 1985, delete all players, generate fictionals and sim forward to 2010.
But the problem I'm having is when I have the game generate fictional players for the teams, I'm getting really weird results, like a bunch of Middle Relievers that have amazing batting ratings. Edit: and when I try to fill minors with fictionals, many players have no ratings at all. Last edited by greenrebellion; 09-28-2010 at 12:20 AM. |

I would think the easiest way would be to use the MLB startup and then go to edit league structure and just delete the NL. Not sure if the League would still show up in the history or not, and if it does not sure how you'd edit that out.
